Best personal trainer software in the UK (2026): an honest comparison
Trainerize, TrueCoach, Everfit, My PT Hub, PT Distinction, Hevy Coach and Repit compared for UK personal trainers. Real prices, what each is good at, and who it suits.

I build Repit, so I'm biased. I'll say that up front and then try to be fair anyway.
If you're a UK PT picking software, price comes up first and it's annoying to compare, because most of these tools price in dollars and by number of clients. So below is what each one costs at roughly 20 to 30 clients, what it's good at and who I think it suits.
Competitor prices in this post are in US dollars and come from third-party comparison pages and coaches' own reports (as of Sep 2026, check their site). They change, so treat them as a rough guide.
The quick version
| Tool | Entry price | Around 20–30 clients |
|---|---|---|
| Trainerize | Free (1 client), $10 (2 clients) | about $70–90/mo |
| TrueCoach | $29.98 (5 clients), no free plan | about $53/mo (20), plus a 5% payment fee |
| Everfit | Free (5 clients), $19 | $49/mo (20), $95 (50), add-ons extra |
| My PT Hub | $25–27.50 flat | $52/mo Premium, unlimited clients |
| PT Distinction | $19.90 | about $60/mo (50) |
| Hevy Coach | about $25 flat | cheap |
| Google Sheets | free | free |
| Repit | Free (2 clients) | £69/mo Growth (16–35 clients), £34.50 with FOUNDING50 |
Trainerize
The one everyone's heard of. Big feature list, lots of integrations, and a free plan for a single client.
The complaints I see from coaches are about price once you grow and about speed. One coach on Reddit said their subscription "hit $90 and I only had 30 clients". Another said the workout builder gets slow once you're programming supersets, clusters or tempo work. Fair to say plenty of coaches use it happily too.
Suits: online coaches who want the most established option and don't mind paying in dollars.
TrueCoach
Clean and focused on training delivery. No free plan, starts at $29.98 for 5 clients, and there's a 5% fee if you take payments through it.
Suits: coaches who mainly deliver programmes and want something simple.
Everfit
The most generous free plan here (5 clients). Paid plans start at $19, $49 for 20 clients. Some features are add-ons, so check what you actually need before comparing. One coach on Reddit said it "gets more expensive when you scale to 50+ clients".
Suits: newer coaches who want to start free with a few clients.
My PT Hub
A UK company. Flat pricing, $52 a month for Premium with unlimited clients, which is good value if you have a big roster.
Suits: UK coaches with lots of clients who want a flat bill.
PT Distinction
Also UK based. Starts at $19.90 and gets to around $60 for 50 clients.
Suits: coaches who want a long-running UK option at a sensible mid price.
Hevy Coach
Built on Hevy, the workout tracker. About $25 a month flat. If your clients already use Hevy it's an easy step.
Suits: coaches whose clients already log in Hevy and mainly need training oversight.
Google Sheets
Free and you can make it do anything. Plenty of good coaches still run everything from a sheet. It falls down on the client side: no app, no reminders, no automatic progression, and you have to go looking for who missed a session. I wrote a separate guide on moving clients off Google Sheets.
Repit
What I built. Repit is for coaches who programme properly and are tired of piecing each client's week together.
- You build one week and choose how each lift progresses: manually, double progression or a percentage of the client's 1RM. Repit generates the following weeks and you can check each one before assigning.
- Nutrition, weight, readiness and check-ins sit on the same client record as training.
- Missed sessions and due check-ins show up as tasks.
- Priced in pounds. Clients pay nothing.
Being honest about where it's weaker: at list price it's more expensive than Everfit, TrueCoach or My PT Hub in the middle tiers (Growth is £69 for 16–35 clients). The free plan only covers 2 clients, against Everfit's 5. It's also newer, so there are fewer integrations than Trainerize.
Our pricing: Free up to 2 clients, Starter £29 (3–15), Growth £69 (16–35), Pro £119 (36–75), Elite £179 (76–150). Founding coaches get 50% off for as long as their subscription stays active with the code FOUNDING50, so Starter is £14.50. That offer is limited to 50 places and closes on 1 December 2026.
How I'd choose
If price is everything and you have a few clients, start with Everfit's free plan or a good spreadsheet. If you have a big roster and want a flat bill, look at My PT Hub. If programming is the main thing you do for clients and you want progression handled for you, try Repit.
Whatever you pick, sign up for two of them and build the same real client in both. You'll know within an hour.
